Skills Consortium National Event

Substance Misuse Skills Consortium Second National Event

The Skills Consortium’s second national event ‘Building recovery in the workforce: learning how to develop your inspirational, recovery-orientated drug and alcohol workforce’ will give service managers, team leaders and other key treatment service staff another opportunity to come together to hear and share practical experiences on how to deliver a recovery-orientated workforce.

Delegates said last year’s oversubscribed event was interesting and thought-provoking, and they praised the benefits of “hearing a broad range of topics and initiatives to move services into recovery focus”. The 2011 Conference Briefing is attached and includes links to presentations and videos on the web.

This year’s event will take place on Tuesday 14th February in London and will provide one full day of learning, sharing and discussion through a variety of speakers and practical workshops. The event flier and application form is attached. We’re already well over halfway with bookings so don’t miss out on this opportunity for the Consortium to assist your service in getting to grips with the recovery and workforce agenda.
