![]() DAAT Commissioning Team Team Profile, Latest Updates and Contact List The DAAT commissioning team is responsible for delivering an annual needs assessment which helps inform the development of our local service delivery, scoping and developing service contracts and specifications, monitoring and driving up individual service performance and meeting/exceeding DAAT and National Treatment Agency targets on treatment. The team oversees the procurement of appropriate treatment provision base on best value principles. They also fulfil a performance management and development function including consultation with service users.
Latest Update Commissioning and Performance
One small example we received illustrates the value this evidence can bring - of those service users who left treatment in a planned way so far during 2009-10 - who had a housing need on entry and had a start and exits TOP to measure this need - 76% reported they no longer had a housing need when exiting treatment. This is a small sample number (32) and obviously we need to factor in that this group exited in a planned as opposed to unplanned way, but it is still a sign of really important achievements for both treatment and housing support that can be evidenced by TOPs data. New Stimulant Service
The procurement of a new Stimulant Treatment Service is well underway and will be completed by June 2010. The new service will include interventions for reducing harm caused by a broader range of substances such as mephadrone reflecting changing patterns for drug use.
