![]() We have created a helpful resource of key documents used by many professionals across the drug and alcohol field. We hope these documents will enhance the skills and understanding of all those working or coming into contact with drug and alcohol using clients. This resource should be an excellent starting point for new as well as established drug and alcohol professionals, students and community members wanting to know more about the direction the drug and alcohol field is moving in. Many of the documents we have chosen provide a strategic overview at a national and local level and incorporate many of the partnerships working in Hackney. They set the agenda for how we should all be working with drug and alcohol using clients and the standards we all need to achieve. They provide a clear direction for key areas of work regarded as essential for improving the lives of those affected by drug and alcohol issues. All documents can be downloaded on our Local and National Drug and Alcohol Documents page. Members Area Hackney DAAT is fully committed to the development of high quality, integrated drug and alcohol treatment services. In accordance with guidance set out by the National Treatment Agency (2006), we have produced the Models of Care Client Assessment Protocols to provide a framework to ensure that the duplication of service delivery is eliminated in favour of a more integrated approach. This document is an essential resource for those working or coming into contact with drug and alcohol users, as it provides rapid signposting for the referral of drug and alcohol using clients into treatment services, ensuring the needs of our diverse community are met appropriately.
Our key aim is to maximise access to relevant treatment for Hackney residents with drug and alcohol problems and to sustain them in that treatment with the minimum of bureaucracy and hassle.
To gain access to our Models of Care Client Assessment Protocols you must be working with Hackney drug and alcohol using clients and intending to make referrals into our integrated treatment system. All documents are contained within our members area. You will need to gain a ‘user name’ and ‘password’ before you can access them. Please following the instructions provided in the Members Area Login.
