Advice & Information

If you require advice and information about a drug or alcohol issue that is affecting you, a family member, friend or someone you care for, our local treatment services are there to provide the appropriate help and support you need. They are all only a phone call away and will give you much needed assistance and reassurance.  If they feel you would benefit by attending a service for further one to one support they will help identify the best treatment option for the issue at hand.

As a starting point we recommend the first point of contact for general enquiries about drugs be directed towards Lifeline - Community Drug Service (CDS), based at the Elizabeth Fry Centre in Tudor Grove, Hackney E9 7QL, telephone 020 8985 3757. They run a drop-in where you can see someone without an appointment.

For general alcohol enquires, we recommend the first point of contact be the Crossroads Alcohol Centre, 2 Westgate Street, Hackney E8 3RN, telephone 020 8525 1313. They also run a drop-in where you can see someone without an appointment. You can find the contact details of all our services by downloading our drug and alcohol treatment services map on the directory and weblink page.

Alternatively you may wish to speak to Frank 0800 77 66 00, the National Drugs Helpline, which runs a 24-hour, seven-days a week, free and confidential telephone service, offering advice and information for those who are concerned, or have questions, about drug and alcohol use.
